Founder Introduction
Gigi has been particularly interested in child development since she completed her Bachelor of Psychology at University College London. Gigi then continued her studies and obtained a Master of Applied Clinical Psychology at the University of Warwick in the UK. During her time in the UK, Gigi worked as a trainee clinical psychologist at the Primary Mental Health Team, focusing on early intervention and prevention of mental illness, including anxiety, depression, and helping children with special needs, including autism and hyperactivity disorder.
Gigi devoted herself to ABA behavioral therapy and felt the help it brought to children. Gigi has accumulated more than 1,500 hours of supervised internship and completed a two-year BCBA accredited course to obtain the International Certified Behavior Analyst qualification. Gigi has served children from 18 months to 16 years old.
Gigi is very experienced in providing one-on-one therapy and group therapy. She has helped children with autism, learning delays, developmental delays, speech delays, anxiety, violent tendencies, and social-emotional problems. At the same time, she provides training in different settings, including home training, center training, community-based settings to help children apply skills to daily life, and serves as a shadow teacher in schools. Gigi is very grateful to have successfully helped a large number of students as a shadow teacher, gradually faded out of her own support, and successfully helped students integrate into mainstream schools.
Her enthusiasm comes from the subtle growth and language progress of each student. Her goal is to help more families with personalized ABA programs. This enthusiasm made her decide to train more young therapists and guide parents and students to help more children with ABA behavioral therapy.
GiGi's Words
Working in the children's industry is my lifelong wish. When I was still a student, I wanted to become an educational psychologist. But since I came into contact with ABA behavioral training, my thoughts have changed. I believe that ABA behavioral training is a more front-line job, which can better understand the children's situation and their needs, because I face them every day.
When they play, there is also my figure, when they study, they can also see my smile, our job is to walk in front of the children, stand in front of the children, so my observation is the closest to their situation, so my analysis can also help them the most. What I do is not just education, but the ideological work of life. Children are simple, so I also like this simplicity. Simplicity is happiness. Happiness becomes the seasoning of life and the root of my life. Looking back, every time a child leaves, I always feel reluctant, but at least I see that he has grown up and improved, and my mood is also very contradictory. However, these memories have become the cornerstone of my persistence to this day.
ABA behavioral therapists need to be valued by the society. Ai Lan will also stick to his beliefs, cultivate talents for the society, help the younger generation to understand ABA, and see and help more children in need in my lifetime.
