Give effective praise

Now that we understand the importance of praise, we need to know how to praise most effectively.
1. Praise needs to be sincere and with a smile.
2. Praise needs to be specific (what exactly is good behavior?)

4. Praise doesn’t have to come from words
- Hug
- Tickle
- Kiss
- High five
- Fist bump
- Hold the child
- Thumbs up
5.Finally, praise needs to be relevant to what the child does. As the difficulty of the task increases, the praise should become better and more sincere.
Say “good/not bad” when the child does well;
“Wow, that’s great!” and hug him when the child does well.
