Shadow Teacher
At ABLE, we believe every child—regardless of their learning needs—deserves a classroom where they feel understood, included, and empowered.
For children with special educational needs (SEN), learning in a mainstream classroom can sometimes feel overwhelming. Tasks such as following lesson timetable, finishing homework independently, following classroom routines, or making friends may be challenging—and that’s where our shadow teacher service can make a difference.

Shadow Teacher Service
ABLE believes that all children with special educational needs (SEN) should have equal educational opportunities. However, in a regular classroom setting, it is difficult for teachers to cater for children with special educational needs such as: learning normally in class, completing homework independently, following classroom rules, or building friendships. ABLE provides shadowing services that can promote your child's learning progress and integration into the classroom, while gradually reducing the reliance on one-to-one training.
Shadow teacher services require agreement with the school and teachers to design a personalized learning plan for the child so that he can integrate into the classroom.
Services include
Dealing with behavior and emotions
Help prevent emotional outbursts by recognizing triggers early, offering calming techniques, and stepping in swiftly during distress. Their presence ensures immediate support, protects student and peers to maintains a secure, nurturing environment for SEN students to thrive.
Follow class schedule and rules
Help students manage timetable challenges by priming them for upcoming changes. They ease transitions, promote independence in following group plans, and support understanding of both spoken and unspoken classroom expectations to build confidence and adaptive learning skills.
Maintaining friendships
Support making friends by highlighting social cues, guiding peer interactions, and encouraging empathy. We nurture positive relationships through shared activities, promote conflict resolution, and build communication skills to help students maintain meaningful friendships over time.
