Control Volume

“Voice” is very important in communication and getting along with others. As children grow up, they begin to try to speak in different tones. However, they also need to learn to control the volume in different situations and environments, understand the surrounding environment, and follow the social etiquette of certain occasions. For example, children learn to keep quiet or speak softly and thinly in the library, or not to shout when talking to the person next to them. Teaching children to regulate the volume of their speech also teaches them to control their behavior and gain a deeper understanding of what behaviors are appropriate and what are inappropriate. This is a basic self-control concept that helps children learn other self-management behaviors.
One way to control the volume of your child’s speech is to use visual aids.
